Helping Fibrositis With Memory Foam

19-09-2011

Fibrositis, or Fibromyalgia, is a painful condition. It is a chronic condition that is characterised by widespread and targeted aches and pains across the whole body, though often near the spine, neck and shoulders. They believe that it actually makes the sufferer more sensitive to pain. It affects about 3-6% of the population and is one of the main causes of fatigue and insomnia. Because the body is more sensitive, sufferers find it hard to get comfortable in bed, mild pressure points on an ordinary person become incandescent areas of pain for sufferers.

That is why memory foam is so good for sufferers. Memory foam moulds itself to the exact body shape and current posture of the sleeper, meaning that it reduces the pressure points on the body and ensuring that the skeletal frame is in a completely relaxed state. Other mattress materials force the body to conform to their shape, memory foam mirrors the sleeper, meaning that they are perfectly supported and incredibly comfortable. It is the closest to sleeping in zero gravity that most of us will get.

For anyone suffering from Fibrositis, getting a memory foam mattress is a life changing moment. One night on a memory foam mattress and you will never want to go back.
