All of us have fallen asleep on the job before, though depending on what you do and who you work for, it can have very different consequences. If you are a truck driver then you run the risk of killing yourself and other people and if you are a security guard you may wake to find that your charge has been stolen but what if you were rock star Lady Gaga’s assistant?
Strangely enough, you would feel like you had done your job. Lady Gaga’s former personal assistant has told the media that during her years working for the singer she stayed in the same bed as her most nights while on tour. There was nothing sexual, it was simply that the star wanted company in bed each and every night.
The former assistant states that she was never offered her own hotel room unlike all the other employees and believes that sleeping with Gaga was part of her job description.
The former personal assistant is now suing the singer for thousands of hours of unpaid wages, yes that is right, she is suing for hours of work she did asleep. It certainly brings a new meaning to the phrase sleeping on the job.
